Privacy Policy
This list is generated from the actual database models, not from a template. It is short because the product genuinely does not collect much.
What we store, and only if you do the thing
- If you sign in with Google: your email address and your display name. Nothing else from your Google account. We never receive your password.
- If you sync a Sleeper league: your Sleeper username and user id, and your leagues' names, sizes, settings and rosters. Sleeper's API is public and read-only — we cannot change anything in your league.
- If you use the draft room: the picks you make and the state of your draft, tied to your account, or to a browser session if you are not signed in.
- If you enter your email on the home page: that address.
- Always: a session cookie so the site knows it is still you, and your IP address held briefly to enforce rate limits.
What we do not do
There are no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels and no third-party scripts. There is no JavaScript on these pages at all. That is not a privacy stance so much as a design one, but the effect is the same.
We do not sell your data or share it with anyone for marketing.
Who else sees anything
- Google, if you choose to sign in with them.
- Sleeper, if you sync a league — we send them your username to look it up.
- Google Fonts. Our pages load typefaces from fonts.googleapis.com, which means Google sees the IP address of anyone loading a page, signed in or not. We would rather it did not, and intend to self-host the fonts.
- Amazon Web Services, who host the server, in the United States.
How long
Account data lasts until you ask us to delete it. Draft state for signed-out visitors goes when the browser session expires. IP addresses held for rate limiting expire within the hour.
Getting it back or getting rid of it
Email hello@skipthetape.com and we will send you everything we hold about you, or delete it. There is no form and no waiting period; it is one person reading the mail.
